THE benefits of children's summer camps has been captured on film as part of a unique production, which was premiered yesterday.

Up to 80 children of all ages from the Southill area of Limerick city took part in the local 'Schools Completion Programme' this year.

The film, entitled 'Urban Movement', was screened at Limerick City Council's chambers at Limerick City Hall yesterday to councillors, participants and their parents.

Mayor of Limerick Maria Byrne said the film showed how important summer camps were to the children.

"There was great team effort put into this, and all involved in the camps and the film can be very proud of what they have done," Ms Byrne told the premiere's audience.
