Halle Berry: I dare to take risks
Halle Berry reckons her best career decisions stem from her determination to push boundaries.
Speaking in Hollywood ahead of a special evening in her honour at this year's AFI Fest, entitled A Conversation With Halle Berry, the Oscar-winning actress said: "I keep standing and I keep trying and daring to take risks."
She added: "I think that's the best thing I can do or anybody can do really."
Halle is currently turning her hand to comedy, filming Truth Or Dare in Los Angeles under the Farrelly Brothers' direction.
She says she loved "to do something different all the time".
"[I like to] challenge myself, not do the same thing twice, seeing how far I can go," she admitted.
She went on: "Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but that's the joy of it for me, taking risks and having your challenges."
There was no sign of Halle's French actor boyfriend Olivier Martinez at the event. The actress walked the red carpet on her own wearing a classic little black dress, courtesy of Elie Saab.
When asked for style tips, she joked that her biggest fashion inspiration was "my weight".
