'Half train wreck, half skit' – critics tear Lohan to bits
LINDSAY Lohan so wanted to play Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming film 'Liz & Dick' that she cut out the middle man and went to the producer herself.
Lohan (26) plays Taylor in the story of the long love affair between the late Hollywood legend and actor Richard Burton.
But the critics have been anything but kind. According to the 'Hollywood Reporter', the film is "half train wreck, half SNL skit" and it called Lohan's performance "woeful". It said the film was "both an awful mess and an instant classic of unintentional hilarity". 'The New York Daily News' wrote that the film gives an impression of the Burton-Taylor love story's theatricality that is more akin to "rhinestones" than "diamonds".
