Joseph Gordon-Levitt is making his directorial debut

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has revealed he is "really proud" of his directorial debut, Don Jon's Addiction.

The Dark Knight Rises actor wrote, directed and stars in the upcoming comedy, about a young Don Juan-type porn addict who tries to become less self-centred.

Joseph told Collider of the movie, which also stars Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore: "We're on the home stretch. I'm really proud of it, I think it's turning out really well."

The 3rd Rock From The Sun star plays Robert Lincoln, the son of US President Abraham Lincoln in new film Lincoln, with Daniel Day Lewis taking the leading role.

"(Daniel) is really focused, and it just makes the job, I don't want to say easy, but when he's so in it, it just draws me into it," he said.

"Like I would show up, and all I would have to do is stand next to him and pay attention to him and I would get sucked into the character, into the world."
