Gervais plans Life's Too Short film
Ricky Gervais has revealed he is already planning a spin-off film of his new TV show Life's Too Short.
The comedian and his writing partner Stephen Merchant's forthcoming sitcom for BBC Two stars Willow and Harry Potter star Warwick Davis in a satire of his day-to-day life as a dwarf actor.
The Office and Extras stars co-wrote and directed their first film Cemetery Junction, released this year, based on their early lives growing up in Reading.
Asked if they were planning any more film ventures, Ricky said: "We want to do another one. Maybe we can do a film of Life's Too Short."
Stephen cautioned: "Let's see how the series goes. Let's not get carried away."
But Ricky revealed he intends to write the film.
He added: "Let's have it ready in case it's a success. Always plan for success."
The pair have cameos in the new sitcom.
Explaining the concept of the show, Ricky said previously: "It's about his life - the life of a showbiz dwarf. He plays himself, we play ourselves, it's sort of like Curb Your Enthusiasm."
:: Cemetery Junction is out on DVD on August 30.
