George Sampson has admitted his mum is his critic.

The 16-year-old break dancer, who won the second series of Britain's Got Talent in 2008, is highly critical of himself and his moves, but revealed: "If I'm not then my mum is because you have to be."

George makes his acting debut in StreetDance 3D playing "cheeky chappy" Eddie.

"He's sort of like me. He's my age, he's very young, very cheeky. He can dance but he doesn't tell the crew and they never give him the chance because they think he's too young."

But Eddie does get to finally show-case his moves in an impressive solo routine.

"It's a great little story for Eddie," explained George.

"I loved it, absolutely loved it and the crowd were great as well because they kind of selected fans so obviously the fans were really appreciative."

George reckons street dance is all about getting the right look.

"I think with dance it's kind of like a rule to wear a hoodie," he said. "I mean, have you ever seen a street dancer in a leotard or something? It doesn't work. You have to look the part."
