Galifianakis dreams of drama role
Zach Galifianakis has revealed he would like to try his hand at dramatic acting.
The American actor started off as a stand-up comedian on TV, before moving into film, where he broke out in The Hangover as Phil's wacky brother-in-law Alan.
"I'd like to do that - I wouldn't rather do that, but I'd like to try it, yeah," he said.
"I'm very cautious to try not to do (the same character all the time). Most dramatic actors play the exact same thing all the time."
He added: I've only played this kind of character in Hangover movies. I won't play it in any other thing. I don't think you've ever seen me play this type of character in another movie."
Zach enjoyed getting the chance to improvise in The Hangover Part II, alongside Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms.
"The guys will tell you, I'm not really good at my lines. But I try to be good. I think Todd (Phillips, director) wants us all three to improvise. It helps the movie. It also keeps it fresh on set," he said.
The Hangover Part II is in cinemas now.
