Gainsbourg to star as Nymphomaniac?
Charlotte Gainsbourg is in talks to star in Lars von Trier's new film The Nymphomaniac.
The explicit exploration of a woman's erotic life, written by the controversial director, will be divided into eight chapters and released in two versions - a softcore version for mainstream distribution and a hardcore one, Variety reports.
Charlotte starred in Lars' last two films, Antichrist and Melancholia, which she previously revealed she found "terrifying" as it pushed her to her limit.
Stellan Skarsgard, who also starred in Melancholia, has revealed he has signed up to star in The Nymphomaniac, which is due to begin filming next summer or autumn.
Stellan told E! News: "Lars called me and said, 'Stellan, my next film will be a porno film, and I want you to play the lead in it'."
