Fichtner to play Turtles' Shredder
William Fichtner has revealed he has been cast alongside Megan Fox in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film.
The Prison Break star had previously been linked to the film, and speculation had begun as to whether he would be taking the role of the heroes' nemesis, martial arts expert Shredder.
William has now confirmed to The Huffington Post Canada: "I play Shredder. It is cool. It's one of those things that came along where I thought, 'Really? Let me think about this for a minute.' Then I was like, 'Yeah, OK, this sounds like a journey.' I'm very glad that it worked out, I'm really glad that I'm doing it."
Megan is already on board to play the turtles' friend April O'Neil, while the turtles will be portrayed by Parks And Recreation's Pete Ploszek, Breaking Bad's Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and Noel Fisher (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2).
Arrested Development and 30 Rock star Will Arnett has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
Roles yet to be revealed include the turtles' mentor and trainer Splinter and their friend Casey Jones
Wrath Of The Titans' Jonathan Liebesman is directing the reboot and Michael Bay is producing the film, which will be released in 2014.
