Ferris Bueller Ferrari for sale
A replica Ferrari created for classic teen movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off is set to clock up £40,000 when it goes under the hammer.
The glamorous red car was made for the hit 1986 flick starring Matthew Broderick as a youngster who decides to bunk off school and have a day of fun.
The comedy follows Ferris and his pals as they borrow the replica Ferrari 250GT Spyder California from one of their fathers.
The film grossed more than 70 million dollars in the United States.
Existing examples of the car are "very rare and expensive" so Paramount chose to commission and build a replica for filming purposes, auction house Bonhams said.
Only around 100 genuine 250GT Spyder Californias were created by Ferrari between 1958 and 1963.
The car, tipped to fetch £30,000 to £40,000, is described as "ready to drive".
It is all revved up for sale at Bonhams Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia auction on April 19 at the RAF Museum in Hendon, north London.
