Will Ferrell presided over the largest ever gathering of 'superheroes' to promote his latest film Megamind.
The comedian provides the voice of the title role - a super villain who manages to get rid of his nemesis and then realises he's unhappy and bored.
Will helped superhero fans set a Guinness World Record, which saw 1,580 people come out dressed up as superheroes in Los Angeles.
"I personally rounded up people and forced them to come," he joked.
But Will didn't don tights and a cape himself.
"Mine got left behind, it was still at the dry cleaner because I wore it to another event," he insisted.
The actor said that he enjoyed doing something 'different' for the new DreamWorks comedy.
"It's a different project for me, I haven't really done any other animated movies so it was great," the Anchorman star explained.
"[DreamWorks] really know how to make these movies funny and different and interesting. I loved every second of it.
"The humour is a little more adult and it takes a great look at the whole superhero genre," Will revealed.
