Fassbender tipped for Biblical role
Michael Fassbender could take the title role in the Biblical epic Noah, according to reports, after Christian Bale turned down the part.
The Dark Knight Rises star is said to have been unable to star in the film, directed by Darren Aronofsky, because of his busy schedule.
X-Men: First Class star Michael has already met the Oscar-nominated Black Swan director about the role, Variety said.
Darren has previously said the film will follow the biblical story, with no modern or sci-fi twist.
The director wants to tell the classic tale as a fantasy epic and create his own world on the big screen.
He said earlier this year: "It's the animals, the ark, the floods and Noah with his long beard."
Production on the film is expected to begin in the spring.
