Fassbender joins Counsellor movie

Michael Fassbender is to star in director Ridley Scott's new thriller, it has been reported.
The Shame actor was already linked to The Counsellor, and Deadline.com reports that he has now signed on the dotted line.
The movie, which was penned by Cormac McCarthy, follows a successful lawyer who ends up in a desperate situation after dabbling in the drug business.
At least three other large parts are yet to be cast, including two female leads and a male villain. According to Deadline, there are rumours that Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper and Brad Pitt could be among the candidates for the baddie role.
Filmmaker Scott is apparently planning to make The Counsellor his next project.
