Farrell to take medieval role?
Colin Farrell is apparently in talks to star in Arthur & Lancelot.
The Irish star is said to be considering a role in the upcoming remake, although it is uncertain which part he would take, reported Variety.
Game Of Thrones actor Kit Harington was previously attached as Arthur, with The Killing's Joel Kinnaman as Lancelot, but both have now passed because of scheduling conflicts with other work.
David Dobkin, who directed Wedding Crashers and The Change-Up, is set to direct Arthur & Lancelot from his own script and plans to "reinvent" the characters from the legendary medieval tale.
"I pulled the legend apart. I only kept a few things. I kept certain characters, I recreated the entire launch of the legend and why it starts the way that it starts - I don't want to give away too much but it's always had a flaw," he told Collider.
He added: "I will tell you this, the whole thing is wrapped around the birth of democracy as a concept and it's positing Arthur as the first man to say all men are created equal."
Colin - who last starred in horror remake Fright Night - will next be seen in the Total Recall reboot with Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel.
