Fan frenzy at Eclipse premiere
Robert Pattinson revealed he was getting used to the fan frenzy as he stepped out in Los Angeles for the premiere of the latest Twilight movie.
The heartthrob walked the red carpet (which was black for the occasion) alongside co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner amid hordes of frantic, screaming fans - who had camped for days in a specially designed tent city to catch a glimpse of the actors.
R-Patz - who reprises the role of vampire Edward in Eclipse - said: "I tune it all out til later. You get used to it, but it's still a struggle."
Kristen, who plays human Bella, took the 'fandemonium' in her stride.
"It's really only seemingly crazy when the movies come out, and you want that. I usually live a normal life," said the actress.
Taylor, who plays werewolf Jacob, was asked if he ever wished he was less popular. "I don't think I'm popular. I think it's the character," he said. "I'm grateful to be here, and I'm grateful for the fans."
Dakota Fanning, who plays the vampire Jane, also attended the glitzy premiere and said she was amazed by the fan presence - even in comparison with what she has seen in her own childhood acting career.
"It's really exciting. I don't think I'll ever be part of something like this for the rest of my life," she said. "It's really kind of surreal."
Eclipse opens in UK cinemas in July.
