Robert Duvall has sunk his feet and hands in concrete, leaving an everlasting impression at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The Wednesday ceremony honoured a nearly half-century in films as well as the 80th birthday of the actor, who won an Oscar for Tender Mercies.
A crowd of spectators and photographers watched the star add his prints in the theatre forecourt, where Hollywood's biggest names have been honoured in similar ceremonies since the 1920s.
Robert's distinguished career includes Academy Award nominations for The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, The Great Santini, A Civil Action and The Apostle.
He was nominated last month for a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as a backwoods hermit in Get Low.
