Dumb And Dumber To will be released in November 2014, Universal Pictures has confirmed.
The comedy sequel, once again directed by Bobby and Peter Farrelly, will hit the big screen on November 14.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels have reprised their lead roles of hapless and dim-witted best friends Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne respectively.
The comic duo will be joined by Kathleen Turner, who has been cast as the friends' love interest Fraida Felcher, and Brady Bluhm, who will return to play the pair's blind neighbour Billy.
Jennifer Lawrence is rumoured to play a younger version of Kathleen's character, while there is speculation that Bill Murray could make a cameo after he was seen on set.
Rob Riggle would play two new characters: he would play twins, "a handyman named Travis and his unstable brother, Captain Lippencot", with Rachel Melvn, Steve Tom, and Laurie Holden also set for appearances.
Filming on Dumb And Dumber To, co-written by the Farrelly brothers with Bennet Yellin, who wrote the first movie, along with The Stooges' Mike Cerrone, is under way in Atlanta.
