Downey Jr's Gwyneth 'embarrassment'
Robert Downey Jr has joked that Gwyneth Paltrow wouldn't leave him alone in Iron Man 2.
The 45-year-old reprises his role as the armoured superhero in the highly anticipated sequel, which sees him get up close and personal with Gwyneth, who returns as love interest Pepper Potts.
"I couldn't get her off of me - it was embarrassing," he joked at the film's press conference in Los Angeles.
Robert recalled she didn't seem too impressed with his on-screen romantic moves.
"She said to me that I didn't know what I was doing, like it didn't feel good," he said.
"I'm like, you know what? First of all, we're all friends, so what would be creepy would be if I was coming off all sexy to you - which by the way, I've done that in movies and it creeps them out. So what am I going to creep you out for?"
He joked: "Despite what she said on set, she still thinks about it."
Gwyneth revealed their respective other halves - her husband Chris Martin and Robert's wife Susan Downey - were on set during their passionate snog.
"It was great to me because both my husband and his wife were right there," she said.
:: Iron Man 2 is released on April 30.
