Director trio up for Breaking Dawn
Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola and Bill Condon are reportedly in the running to direct the Twilight finale Breaking Dawn.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the acclaimed directors have been approached to helm the much-anticipated film, which Kristen Stewart confirmed to MTV, saying: "I'm glad that's out and about, I didn't know that was something that people knew."
She said she was thrilled with the big names linked to the film so far, adding: "I think it's awesome. I think it's so cool that they're reaching. I think anyone of those people would be great."
Co-star Robert Pattinson would like two-time Oscar-nominated director Gus Van Sant, whose previous credits include Milk and Good Will Hunting, to take control of the final volume of the best-selling vampire series.
"I think Gus Van Sant would be great - he shoots everything in Portland. He's good at making it look beautiful," he said.
Summit Entertainment has declined to comment, and there has been no official confirmation from the filmmakers' publicists.
