Ryan Reynolds' new film is reportedly without a director, after the man at the helm quit the project.
The Green Lantern star is due to play the new Highlander in a remake of the 1980s fantasy action movie and 28 Weeks Later's Juan Carlos Fresnadillo was to direct.
But Den Of Geek reports that Fresnadillo has left the project over "creative differences" with the studio. The parting is said to have been "amicable".
Ryan is still on board to play leading man Connor MacLeod, who can only be killed by being decapitated, but a new director will now need to be found.
American-born French actor Christopher Lambert played the immortal swordsman in the original 1986 film.
