Leonardo DiCaprio could be set to star in a new Depression-era drama.
The Hollywood star recently announced he was taking a "long, long break" after working on several big movies, but it seems he could take on a leading role in The Road Home.
Deadline reports that filmmaker Scott Cooper has signed on to write the script, direct and produce with Leonardo's production company Appian Way, and that the film "will be shaped as a potential star vehicle" for the actor.
The Road Home is based on a book by Michael Armour. Set in the Great Depression, it follows a rancher who gets caught up in a scandal when he is asked to look into the murder of a local man.
Earlier this year, Leo said he was planning to take a break from acting because he needed some time off after working on films including The Great Gatsby, The Wolf Of Wall Street and Django Unchained.
He told Germany's Bild newspaper: "I am a bit drained. I'm going to take a long, long break."
The 38-year-old explained: "I've done three films in two years and I'm just worn out."
