DiCaprio for Luhrmann's Gatsby?
Leonardo DiCaprio is being considered by Baz Luhrmann to star in his big screen adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
The Moulin Rouge director has still not decided for certain whether F Scott Fitzgerald's novel will be his next film, but Deadline reports Leonardo, Tobey Maguire and The Town star Rebecca Hall took part in a workshop read through of Baz's adaptation he has written with collaborator Craig Pearce.
Leonardo took the role of Gatsby, Tobey played the novel's narrator Nick Carraway and Rebecca read the part of love interest Daisy.
The film is currently with studio Sony Pictures Entertainment and Deadline reports the reading went well.
But Australian director Baz apparently workshops every script he's considering and there's no guarantee those actors will be those cast in the final production.
Amanda Seyfried and Natalie Portman have both been linked to the part of Daisy
Baz and his wife Catherine Martin are producing with Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher.
