Diaz cruises for bruising in stunt to promote new film
Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were all pals for the opening night of 'Knight and Day' in Munich last night.
But the pair have been creating something of a sensation on the internet after the ever boisterous Diaz sent the diminutive star flying in a stunt to promote the picture.
The 47-year-old actor was sent flying backwards across a table after Diaz karate-kicked him in the chest. The hilarious footage was a stunt set up to promote their new movie.
The video, which has gone viral, was aired during their appearance on 'the Oprah Winfrey Show'.
At the start of the clip, 'Top Gun' star Cruise is shown helping Diaz practise her martial arts moves.
But as the actor turns away and puts down his guard, Diaz lands a powerful blow to his chest.
The actress puts her hands over her mouth as the table turns over and she sees Cruise lying on the floor.
In the action comedy 'Knight and Day', Diaz plays June Havens who finds her everyday life tangled with that of a secret agent played by Cruise who has realised he isn't supposed to survive his latest mission.
As their campaign to stay alive spans the globe, they soon learn that all they can count on is each other.
