Depp to be Snow White's Huntsman?
Johnny Depp has reportedly been offered the male lead in new film Snow White And The Huntsman.
Inception star Tom Hardy was recently reported to be circling the role of the huntsman, but he is busy preparing for an unknown role in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises which starts shooting in April, according to movie blog The Wrap.com.
Snow White And The Huntsman is being produced for Universal by Joe Roth, who worked with Johnny on Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland and he is apparently keen to team up with the Hollywood heartthrob again.
The film, directed by Rupert Sanders, will tell the story of how Snow White escapes from wicked witch Ravenna and goes to live with the seven dwarves. Ravenna sends a huntsman out to bring her back, but instead he becomes her mentor and helps her learn how to fight against her evil stepmother.
Charlize Theron is said to be in talks to play the wicked witch.
The film is due to star shooting early next year.
