Depp heading to Oz for prequel?
Johnny Depp is in talks to replace Robert Downey Jr in the Wizard Of Oz prequel, according to reports.
According to Heat Vision Blog, Iron Man star Robert has decided not to take on the young illusionist's role in the Disney film Oz, The Great And Powerful.
Instead, Pirates Of The Caribbean actor Johnny could wear the wizard's robe to play the illusionist, who is forced to flee a travelling circus in the land of Oz, which is run by two wicked witches.
Oz, directed by Sam Raimi, is the latest film that Johnny has been linked to.
The actor is scheduled to start shooting Dark Shadows, Tim Burton's adaptation of the 1960s gothic soap opera, this spring, and is also attached to play Tonto in Disney's The Lone Ranger.
