Robert De Niro has signed up to star in Hands Of Stone, a film about champion boxer Roberto Duran.
The 69-year-old Raging Bull star will play trainer Ray Arcel in the film, about the Parminian pro-boxer who famously quit in the middle of a much-hyped match with Sugar Ray Leonard in 1980.
Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramire - who recently appeared as a CIA operative in Pakistan in Zero Dark Thirty and also had roles in The Bourne Ultimatum and Wrath Of The Titans - has signed up to co-star as Duran, Deadline reported.
Venezuelan writer and director Jonathan Jakubowicz said: "The infamous 'No Mas' fight is the biggest enigma in the history of boxing. This movie will answer the enigma, with the best talent any director can possibly dream."
De Niro recently filmed Grudge Match with Rocky star Sylvester Stallone, about two ageing boxers who come out of retirement to face each other in the ring.
