Danny Dyer has been put through a punishing military boot camp as he prepared to star as a Second World War commando in a new movie.
The 32-year-old joined members of the Royal Marines commando unit for weapons and combat exercise training in Cobham, Kent.
Danny, star of Human Traffic and The Football Factory, will feature in war-time movie Age Of Heroes, based on the formation of Ian Fleming's 30 Commando.
Also starring Sharpe actor Sean Bean, the film is being directed by Adrian Vitoria and shooting is set to begin on location in Norway early next month.
Danny revealed in his weekly Zoo magazine column: "I'm making this war film next month where I play a WWII commando - it's an old-school action flick, with me running around ironing out Nazis, I can't wait."
He added: "It's going to be hard work, but I want to make a proper go of this film, so I really need to a*** lick this part."
