Daniel Radcliffe is set to play Sebastian Coe in a film about the Olympic legend's rivalry with Steve Ovett.
The Harry Potter star has signed up to star in Gold, which concentrates on the early part of Seb's career but isn't thought to touch on his role as London Olympics organiser, The Hollywood Reporter has said.
It will tell the story of Seb and Steve's competition in the run up to the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games but it has not yet been announced who will play Steve.
Daniel, 24, will be reunited with director James Watkins for the film, who he worked with on The Woman In Black.
Gold is based on the book The Perfect Distance by Pat Butcher and is expected to begin filming in the UK and Russia in April 2014.
