Cruz: Pregnancy affected film shoot
Penelope Cruz has admitted her pregnancy made life "interesting" on the set of the action-packed new Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.
The actress, who gave birth to son Leo in January, broke the news she was expecting a baby before the cameras started rolling on set.
She told co-star Johnny Depp and director Rob Marshall "first for safety, secondly for honesty", Penelope revealed in an interview with GQ magazine.
"It made for a very interesting shoot - especially it being an action movie," she said.
"There were a few things I had been in training for, before filming, before I knew I was pregnant, in rehearsals that had to be changed. And my outfits kept, well, evolving.
"I wasn't able to do any of the dangerous shots, obviously. But the sword fights became like choreography, more like dance."
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides was filmed on location in Hawaii.
Penelope, who is married to Spanish star Javier Bardem, has previously confessed she dipped into the sea every 15 minutes to respond to the call of nature while shooting the movie.
