Cruise: Top Gun 2 would be fun
Tom Cruise has said he "really" wants to work on another Top Gun film with director Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
The Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol actor shot into the spotlight after starring in the 1986 action drama, and admitted he's keen to be involved in a sequel.
"For years, people talked about it to us and then Jerry and Tony, the three of us said, 'Why don't we just see if we can give it a shot and if we can come up with an idea?'
"I really want to work with them again, so it'll be fun, if we can figure it out it'll be fun."
Tom, who turns 50 next year, reprises his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt in the latest Mission: Impossible movie, the fourth film in the franchise.
The lifelong film fan revealed: "I always loved movies, since I was about four years old I just loved them. I used to work jobs so I could buy tickets to go to the movies.
"I remember thinking, 'Jeez I'd love to make movies, so I think that's pretty amazing, I never thought that this would happen."
