Costner to play Tarantino villain?
Kevin Costner is in talks to join Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.
The Dances With Wolves star - better known for his good guy roles in The Bodyguard and Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves - is considering the role of villainous Ace Woody, a sadistic slave trainer, reported Deadline.
The 56-year-old would get to work alongside Leonardo DiCaprio as evil club and ranch owner Calvin Candie and Samuel L Jackson as Calvin's valet who keeps the slaves in line in Tarantino's eagerly anticipated spaghetti Western.
It would be the first time Kevin has worked with the acclaimed director and filmmaker.
Jamie Foxx had been in negotiations to play the title character of Django, a slave-turned-bounty hunter who joins forces with a German bounty hunter (played by Christoph Waltz) to take on the villains in an attempt to free his slave wife.
Production is set to begin later this year, with a release scheduled for December 2012.
Kevin's next role sees him in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot Man Of Steel, as the superhero's earth dad Jonathan Kent.
