Cosmopolis makes TIFF's top 10

David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis has made the list of top 10 Canadian films for 2012

David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis has landed a spot in the list of the year's best Canadian films.

The drama, starring Robert Pattinson as a billionaire financier, made the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) top ten list for 2012.

Also making the cut was Deepa Mehta's adaptation of the Salman Rushdie novel Midnight's Children, and Xavier Dolan's Montreal-based Laurence Anyways, which picked up an award for actress Suzanne Clement at Cannes.

Sarah Polley's documentary series Stories We Tell and Michael Dowse's hockey comedy Goon, starring Seann William Scott and Jay Baruchel, also got a place in the top 10.

Director David is working with R-Patz again on the drama Maps To The Stars, which also features Rachel Weisz and Viggo Mortensen.
