Cooper not The Man From UNCLE?
Bradley Cooper has apparently dropped out of The Man From UNCLE.
The Hangover star had been in talks to play crime fighter Napoleon Solo in Steven Soderbergh's big-screen version of the 1960s TV show - the role that made Robert Vaughn famous - but TheWrap website claims he will not take the role.
Australian actor Joel Edgerton is said to be in the running for the part of Russian partner Ilya Kuryakin, which was originally played by Scottish star David McCallum.
Like the TV series, The Man From UNCLE - produced by John Davis, Jeff Kleeman and David Dobkin - will be set in the 1960s and will focus on the fictitious United Network Command for Law and Enforcement set in London during the Cold War.
Bradley, who is currently filming David O'Russell's The Silver Linings Playbook with Robert De Niro and Jennifer Lawrence, is tipped to start working on Paradise Lost after that, where he could be playing Lucifer.
