A new cinema ad is to go one better than lifelike 3D movies - it will star actors performing live to the audience, in a bid to raise awareness of a cancer charity.
TV star Jeff Brazier and singer Michelle Heaton launched the Join The Girls "musicommercial", a condensed musical telling the story of Cancer Research UK's Race for Life event.
The six-minute production will tour a number of major cinemas around the UK with guest celebrities taking part at each show. It will be staged in cinemas throughout February, prior to various "chick flicks".
It is hoped the performances will encourage more people to take part in the women-only 5km and 10km fundraising event which is staged by the charity in conjunction with Tesco later this year.
The touring show is made up of a West End cast, including Debbie Kurup who has performed in Sister Act and Chicago. Celebrity guests will include I'd Do Anything winner and Midweek National Lottery host Jodie Prenger.
