Christian Bale gets in the furnace?
Christian Bale is in talks to star in new revenge drama Out Of The Furnace.
The film focuses on a man released from prison after four years, whose plans to get back to a peaceful, law-abiding family life are thrown upside down when his younger brother is brutally murdered and he sets out for revenge.
Christian was previously attached to the project when it was called The Low Dweller and was set to be directed by Snow White And The Huntsman's Rupert Sanders but dropped out due to scheduling reasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is now set to be directed by Crazy Heart's Scott Cooper under the new title of Out Of The Furnace and The Dark Knight star is in negotiations to get back on board.
The project had previously attracted the attention of Ridley Scott and Mark Wahlberg, and Ridley is now a producer, along with Leonardo DiCaprio's company Appian Way.
If he signs up Christian would make the film this spring, before his busy summer of promoting The Dark Knight Rises and filming Terrence Malick's drama Knight Of Cups.
