In last year's Man Of Steel movie Clark, aka Superman, had not yet started his job at the Daily Planet, but Henry has posed on set of Zack Snyder's sequel dressed in the traditional reporter's trench coat, shirt tie and grey slacks, next to a director's chair which says "Clark".

The 31-year-old British actor posed for the picture for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. Henry, who is an ambassador for the trust, is holding a T-shirt for the Royal Marine 1664 Challenge, a fundraiser in aid of seriously injured and wounded Royal Marines.

Speaking about the fundraiser on the official website, Henry said: "To the men of Royal Marines I would like to say that it is an absolute privilege to be able to support your band of brothers. I have a deep and very personal admiration for everything you do for us. I hope your families know how much you are appreciated."

The 1664 Challenge celebrates the 350th anniversary of the Royal Marines, and has seen members ski, sail, cycle, canoe and run over 4,100 miles across Europe. It will culminate with a moonlit 30-mile run in London and so far it has raised over £60,700.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Ben Affleck could star in his own standalone Batman film.

The Argo actor will play the caped crusader opposite Henry as Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 and The Justice League in 2017.

According to Latino Review, the standalone movie has the working title The Batman and is being planned for 2019, around actor and director Ben's busy schedule.
