Cate Blanchett says she'd have no hesitation signing up for the role of a James Bond villain.
The Australian actress told Harper's Bazaar she is interested in a deeper, darker role than a Bond girl and revealed Rosa Klebb in From Russia With Love is her favourite character.
Asked if she'd like to play a Bond villain, Cate said: "Oh God! Yes! I'd be there in a heartbeat.
"I love Lotte Lenya (who played Rosa). She had a club foot and a limp. I'm not a purist in that way."
The 43-year-old actress is married to playwright Andrew Upton, with whom she has three young sons, and the family live in Australia, where they run the Sydney Theatre Company.
But Cate revealed her business partner husband seems to be hinting she should be a housewife on the side.
She said: "My husband went through a phase of giving me vacuum cleaners, sewing machines and Mixmasters. It's ironic. He is encouraging me to develop a hobby, I think."
She added: "An actress once advised me, 'Make sure you do your own laundry - it will keep you honest.'"
