Jim Carrey could be taking a supporting role in Marvel's upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy.
The Canadian comedian is one of the actors being considered to add some humour to James Gunn's film, along with fellow funnyman Adam Sandler, reported LA Times' Latino Review.
"Marvel is asking for the availability of both Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler," a source said.
It is thought that the comics would fit into the likely motion-capture roles of Rocket Raccoon (a talking raccoon) or Groot (a giant tree), although it is not certain whether there are two parts to be filled.
Jim is not averse to superhero properties, as he will appear as Sal Bertolinni (Colonel Stars and Stripes) in Kick-Ass 2.
Production on Guardians Of The Galaxy is due to begin in London during the summer, for a release in 2014.
