Steve Carell has brushed away reports that he is to star with Sandra Bullock in The Abstinence Teacher.
The duo were reported to be appearing together in the film adaptation of Tom Perrotta's best-selling novel - but Steve has batted away the stories.
"I read that too, and I don't know where it came from, but there's no credence to that at all - I'd love to work with her some day but that's not actually true," he said at the European premiere of Despicable Me in London.
In the animated comedy, Steve voices baddie Gru, while Russell Brand lends his vocal talent to his evil sidekick Dr Nefario.
"I am very villainous, I am very evil," admitted the star of the US version of The Office.
"I think my inner villain has always been there, seething below the surface. All I needed to do was to scratch it and it would come out."
Of his co-star, he said: "In real life, I have only met with him twice and he seems like an absolutely pleasant and wonderful guy. And as my evil sidekick, he is fantastic. I hope he can be my evil sidekick for many more films."
:: Despicable Me is in cinemas on October 15.
