Carell: Anchorman 2 will be funny
Steve Carell has revealed he couldn't stop laughing when he filmed Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The Despicable Me 2 actor clearly enjoyed reuniting with co-stars such as Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate as he reprised his role as weatherman Brick Tamland in the highly-anticipated sequel.
"It was really fun. It's all of my friends so we spent two months just laughing together. I haven't laughed that hard every day since the first movie," he admitted.
"I hope the finished film will be as funny. It seemed really funny to us when we were shooting it so we'll see."
Bridesmaids actress Kristen Wiig joins the follow-up as Brick's rumoured love interest, but Steve is remaining tight-lipped on that front.
He revealed he liked working with the funnywoman though, in both Anchorman 2 and Despicable Me 2, where she plays secret agent Lucy.
"I've been a fan of Kristen for years. From the first time I saw her on Saturday Night Live, I think she's brilliant," he said. "She's always the best in everything she does. But we never actually worked together."
He added: "When you do voice work, you're in a booth and you're in front of a microphone but you never get to see or hear any of the other actors, so it's kind of like acting in a vacuum."
:: Despicable Me 2 is in cinemas now, while Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is due out in December.
