The Hollywood actor - who made his name playing the tough guy in the Die Hard movies - said: "There are a few things I can't do any more... I don't want to work in the snow, I don't want to work on the water, I don't want to work in the desert, and I don't want to work in musical comedy."

"I really suck at all those things. I'm really crabby when I'm uncomfortable or I get some sand in my shorts," added the actor, who can currently be seen in Cop Out with 30 Rock's Tracy Morgan.

Bruce - who is filming Red in Toronto with Morgan Freeman and Dame Helen Mirren - would, however, put his foibles aside to work with the Coen brothers, who are famed for filming in extreme weather conditions.

"I would work with those guys. Even in the snow," he added.

:: Cop Out is in cinemas now.
