Richard Gere says his new film, Brooklyn's Finest, is a "boy's movie".
The Chicago actor, who stepped out with co-stars Don Cheadle and Ethan Hawke for the movie's premiere in New York, told Entertainment Tonight: "This is a real boy's movie - I mean, I've got people on the street coming up to me going, the boys going, 'Oh man, you've got to see this one'."
Brooklyn's Finest, by Antoine Fuqua, sees the trio play police officers while Wesley Snipes and Vincent D'Onofrio also star.
Ethan was full of praise for his castmates.
"Wesley Snipes and Don Cheadle are tough to compete with. They're great actors and so is Richard. They're a great group. I was really grateful for this job," he said.
And Don used the opportunity to bond with Wesley.
"Wes and I talked a lot about family during the breaks. He's got kids, I've got kids. We talked about the movie somewhat, but mostly I was just getting to know him as a person - he's a really decent guy," he said.
