British actor joins Depp in Pirates
Johnny Depp is to be joined by more up and coming young talent in Pirates Of The Caribbean 4.
British actor Sam Clafin, 23, is to play a young missionary who gets mixed up with Captain Jack Sparrow on his search for the Fountain Of Youth, ComingSoon.net reports.
Clafin recently graduated from the London Academy of Music, Drama and Art and has also been cast in forthcoming historical mini-series The Pillars Of The Earth alongside actors Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Matthew MacFadyen and Donald Sutherland.
It was revealed last week that young French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey is to make her English-speaking debut in Pirates 4 as ocean beauty Syrena.
Also joining Depp in the latest instalment in the swashbuckling saga, directed by Nine's Rob Marshall and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, are Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane and Geoffrey Rush.
The film is due to begin shooting in June in Hawaii, Los Angeles and Britain, and is scheduled for release in cinemas in May 2011.
