Ben Miller says he is proud to be back for a small role in the Johnny English sequel

Ben Miller has said Johnny English is one of his performances that he is most proud of.

The comedian, actor and director - best known as one half of Armstrong and Miller - played sidekick Bough in the 2003 spy spoof starring Rowan Atkinson and is delighted to be reprising his role in the sequel.

Ben revealed: "Bough is a very brief appearance rather than a return. He pops up in the story which is lovely - great fun to do."

He went on: "I'm so glad they're doing another one. I absolutely loved Johnny English, it's one of the things I'm most proud of.

I just absolutely love it. I think it's so great they're doing another one and I thought the scripts were just fantastic.

"I can't wait to see it. And I'm so proud to have been even such a tiny part of it."

The 45-year-old actor enjoyed a day working with Johnny English's Bond girls.

He said: "I had an absolutely thrilling day filming with Rosamund Pike and Gillian Anderson and Rowan. It was just ridiculously good fun. Brilliant."

:: Ben's directorial debut Huge, about stand-up comedy, is out in cinemas now.
