Samantha Barks has revealed she is loving working with Susan Boyle, who she describes as "a gentle soul".
The Britain's Got Talent star is making her movie debut in The Christmas Candle, based on a book by US preacher and author Max Lucado, and set in an 1890s English village where blessed candles answer people's prayers.
Susan and Les Miserables star Samantha have been filming on location in the Isle of Man.
Samantha gushed: "Susan's great, she's got this really beautiful, gentle soul about her and she's lovely.
"It's been really great to see her sing, she sings a bit in the film and I don't actually sing. So it's really nice to be sat back for once watching someone else sing!"
The big freeze gripping Britain may not feel right for this time of year, but it's perfect for Samantha while they are filming the Christmas movie.
She said: "It's such a fun film, it really is. It's a Christmas film, set in the Cotswolds, which is such a beautiful part of the world. It's been snowing as well, so I feel so in the festive spirit, which is sort of wrong, but also so right. I love a bit of Christmas!"
