Alec Baldwin could be reuniting with comedy partner Steve Martin on the big screen.
The duo - who hosted the 2010 Oscars, and played rivals in Saturday Night Live and It's Complicated - are in early talks to star in a comedy, described as "Trading Places meets Grumpy Old Men", reported Deadline.
Producer Adam Shankman, who directed and produced last year's Oscars, is said to have been inspired by their Saturday Night Live opening segment, and thought they would make a good screen pairing.
The idea is said to be in its very early stages, with deals yet to be finalised and a writer to be hired.
Alec and Steve previously shared screen time in It's Complicated, where their characters fought for Meryl Streep's affections.
They also both appeared in 30 Rock.
