Hollywood stars have taken to their seats early as Bafta bosses made their preparations for the biggest night in the UK movie calendar.
Although they were not there in person, stars such as Carey Mulligan, Colin Firth, Kate Winslet and Dustin Hoffman were being afforded some of the best seats in the house.
The team behind the Orange British Academy Film Awards - taking place on Sunday - marked the stars' places with photo mugshots on sticks.
The glamorous bash, which draws the cream of the movie world, takes place at the Royal Opera House.
British film An Education is battling major Hollywood movies Avatar and The Hurt Locker with eight nominations each at this year's ceremony.
Vanessa Redgrave is to be presented with this year's Bafta Fellowship for her contribution to film.
