Antonio Banderas has revealed how he has been kept in the dark about his new film with Woody Allen, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger.
The Spanish actor stars in the ensemble movie alongside Naomi Watts, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Freida Pinto, which is expected to premiere at the Cannes film festival in May, and said he is only aware of his storyline and nothing else.
"He sent me only my scenes when I said I would do the movie - you read only what you do... It's going to be the first movie that when it opens, I know nothing about," he said at Iberostar Grand Paraiso hotel in Cancun, Mexico.
He added: "I can't wait till Cannes and sit down there like a normal member and see a movie I don't know what it's about."
Working with the acclaimed filmmaker was a dream come true for Antonio.
"It was great but weird at the same time. When I was 25 years old, I worked in Madrid with a t-shirt with his face, and so, just being on the set and seeing the same guy on my t-shirt - he is literally the same guy because he wears the same glasses and the same hat - it was quite impressive," he revealed.
"Somebody said he was difficult - that wasn't the case. I talked to him a lot. All you have to do is just talk about jazz, and he will go on."
