Anna Kendrick: I'm a hot dog now

Anna Kendrick knew she had made it when she had a hotdog named after her

Anna Kendrick feels like she has made it in Hollywood after having a hotdog named after her.

The Twilight star - who has been nominated for an Oscar for her role in Up In The Air with George Clooney - was stunned to discover she could order herself on a fastfood menu.

Anna explained: "There is a place in Chicago called Hot Doug's. They just sell hotdogs and it is one of those places where there is always a line around the corner. They name all their hotdogs after people. Like 'The Brigitte Bardot' and 'The Joe Strummer'. Now there is an 'Anna Kendrick' hotdog.

"It is the most surreal and random thing I have ever experienced. Somebody had told me about it and I thought it was a joke. Until I went to Chicago and ordered 'The Anna Kendrick'. I was like 'I think this is when you have really made it - when you have a hotdog named after you by a man you have never met.' Fantastic."

The actress stars in animated comedy adventure ParaNorman as the voice of Courtney, a teenage girl whose eccentric younger brother, Norman (Kodi Smit-McPhee), must save his small New England town from an all-out zombie invasion.

Anna revealed: "I did not see a single frame of Courtney until my fourth recording session because they were mostly working on Norman. My reaction was that it is such a juvenile thought to have, but when they showed it to me I was like, 'Wait, she's talking in my voice!' which, of course, I knew that was going to happen, logically.

"It was like seeing [Disney cartoon] Aladdin except Jasmine is using my voice all of a sudden. To finally see my voice match up with the character was actually a surprisingly strange thing to wrap my brain around."

:: ParaNorman is out on DVD, Blu-ray and in 3D on Monday January 28, 2013.
