Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock and Cameron Diaz are reportedly looking to team up on the “mother of all chick comedies”.
The trio of actress all have successful careers but apparently think their star power could be best used if they work together. They have decided to show off their talents in a comedy movie, with rumours they are looking for a script similar to 2011 smash hit Bridesmaids.
“[They want] the mother of all chick comedies,” an insider told RadarOnline.
“Sandra is the one who is friends with both Cameron and Jennifer, and would likely get top billing in the project.
“It’s amazing that this is even being considered by this group - and shows that they’re putting aside old rivalries to find ways of staying relevant in recession-racked Hollywood.”
At the moment the stars don’t have a script or an idea, but that isn’t putting them off. It’s been claimed if the plan goes ahead the whole genre could be revitalised, much as the superhero one was thanks to ensemble release The Avengers.
Sandra enjoyed success alongside Melissa McCarthy in their release The Heat earlier this year, which reportedly got her thinking about her next step.
“The success of The Heat and the movie Bridesmaids has shown that female buddy comedies are the hottest thing going and Cameron, Sandra and Jen would love to work together and rake in box office gold,” the insider explained.
There is also speculation that Drew Barrymore could direct the film, as she is apparently hoping to head behind the camera again
